their full integration into society, making efforts to empower them both vital
and complex. It's estimated that one in ten Palestinian families in Lebanon has
at least one member with a disability, and a staggering 29% of Palestinian
children with disabilities are not enrolled in school.

Physical, speech, and hearing therapy and treatment, in addition to assistance to those with learning difficulties, are offered with the support of Taawon. Specialists also follow up on cases through home visitations, where they can engage parents and train them on how to enhance their child’s independence through what is available to them inside the home. Our assistance includes providing prosthetic and other support devices for both seniors and children that help them in all aspects of their daily lives.
Taawon is supporting the development of an updated database of Palestinians with special needs in Lebanon that will, in turn, become the basis for centrally issuing magnetic cards, both to increase the effectiveness of the services provided and to provide treatment in a more organized and effective manner.
